Non-woven fabric is a flat, porous sheet-like material produced directly from dispersed fibers, molten plastic, or plastic films. Unlike traditional spinning or weaving processes, these materials are bonded together through mechanical, thermal, or chemical means.
These distinct manufacturing processes give rise to various types of non-woven fabrics:
Spunbond Non-woven Fabric:
Spunbond non-woven fabric is a tough, lightweight textile material characterized by its liquid-repellent properties. Its production involves extruding molten polymers (such as polypropylene) to form continuous filaments, laying them down to create a web-like structure, and subsequently bonding them together—typically through a thermal bonding process. Renowned for its durability, cost-effectiveness, and breathability, this material is highly favored across a wide range of industrial and consumer applications.

Meltblown Non-woven Fabric:
Meltblown non-woven fabric is a highly porous, ultrafine-fiber material primarily utilized as a filtration medium in medical masks, respirators, and industrial air/liquid filtration systems. Its manufacturing process involves extruding molten polymers (such as polypropylene) and using high-velocity hot air streams to attenuate (draw out and refine) them, thereby creating a dense, web-like barrier capable of effectively capturing microscopic particles.

Spunlace Non-woven Fabric:
Spunlace non-woven fabric is a versatile, soft-textured, and durable material produced through a process known as hydroentanglement (or hydro-bonding), which utilizes high-pressure water jets to mechanically entangle a web of fibers. This mechanical bonding process causes the fibers to interweave and intertwine without the need for chemical binders. The resulting non-woven fabric exhibits excellent absorbency, good breathability, and lint-free characteristics, making it commonly used in medical, beauty care, and industrial wiping applications.

Needle-punched Non-woven Fabric:
Needle-punched non-woven fabric is a tough, felt-like textile material created by mechanically piercing loose fibers with thousands of barbed needles, causing the fibers to entangle and bond together. Renowned for its exceptional durability, fluid permeability, and superior filtration capabilities, this material serves as an ideal choice for applications across civil engineering, landscaping, and various industrial sectors.

Stitch-bonded Non-woven Fabric:
Stitch-bonded non-woven fabric is a durable, composite-like material produced through a manufacturing process that utilizes continuous yarns to mechanically stitch and reinforce loose fiber webs. Compared to standard chemically or thermally bonded, as well as needle-punched non-wovens, this "grid-like" reinforced material demonstrates superior tear resistance, dimensional stability, and flexibility.

Chemically Bonded Non-woven Fabric:
Chemically bonded non-woven fabric is an engineered textile produced by applying liquid binders—such as acrylates or resins—to layers of loose fiber webs. This process fuses the fibers into a stable and durable material, prized for its affordability, soft texture, wearing comfort, and customizable properties—including absorbency and flame retardancy.

Thermally Bonded Non-woven Fabric:
Thermally bonded non-woven fabric is a soft, lightweight, and cost-effective material produced by subjecting a fiber web—composed of thermoplastic fibers (such as polypropylene or polyester)—to heat treatment. The heating process induces localized melting at the fiber intersection points, thereby creating a robust, breathable, and property-adjustable bonded structure without the need for chemical binders.

Wet-laid Non-woven Fabric:
Wet-laid non-woven fabric is a technical textile manufactured using a process derived from traditional papermaking techniques. Chopped natural, synthetic, or glass fibers are suspended in water to form a slurry; this slurry is then deposited onto a moving screen, dewatered, and bonded to ultimately form a highly uniform, isotropic fiber web structure.

Air-laid Non-woven Fabric:
Air-laid non-woven fabric is a highly absorbent and soft-textured material, primarily composed of wood pulp and/or synthetic fibers. Unlike traditional wet-laid paper or textiles, the unique structure of this material is formed by dispersing and bonding fibers using a high-speed airflow. It is widely utilized in fields such as disposable hygiene products, medical supplies, and packaging materials.
